A Newly Renovated Facility

By August 2004, renovation of both patient floors was completed, resulting in a cheerful and beautifully appointed 64-bed facility.

On February 25, 2005, CareLink of Jackson received initial JCAHO accreditation. By continuing to provide specialized hospital care for seriously ill patients who require a longer period of time to reach their optimum health, CareLink adds an important level of care to Jackson and its surrounding communities.

Our History

From June 1943 to 1988, Jackson Osteopathic Hospital served Jackson and its surrounding communities as a short-term acute care hospital. In 1988, following the addition of MDs to the staff; Jackson Osteopathic Hospital became Doctors Hospital and remained a quality short-term acute care hospital until 2003. It was then converted into a long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) called CareLink of Jackson, continuing the building’s healthcare legacy.

CareLink of Jackson admitted the first patient on July 7, 2003. In February of the following year, CareLink completed the six-month demonstration period, and attained LTACH certification on March 1, 2004.

CareLink's healing environment can help you return to your best level of functioning.

CareLink of Jackson is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
